The NJ Bred 3-Year-Old Together Indy is back in today’s race 7 at Monmouth Park. Together Indy broke his maiden last out in his third career start at 6-Furlongs on May 23, 2009. He looked super in doing it. He rattled off fast fractions of 22 and 44 with no issue and opened up to win by 8 lengths under light urging. He ran the 6-Furlongs in 1:09. He looked like a champ. The win was one of the more impressive performances of the 2009 meet, so far at Monmouth Park. He showed plenty of ability in winning. Tomorrow he faces winners for the first time in an allowance. Two other horses look like the only other contenders in the race. Clear Faith won last out in a good try, but was soundly beaten by Together Indy in his debut, but you could toss that race after a bad start. He won by 7 lengths last out. The win was over a sloppy track, which could aid his cause if the track comes up sloppy. He will try to run with Together Indy early. And Balaban who will make a run late in second career start after breaking his maiden in his first career race for Jason Servis, but will have to move forward off that effort to beat Together Indy, if he runs as well as he did last time.
It looks like they have taken their time with Together Indy. He will be making only his third career start, and first since his big win. He has had one published workout since his last race. He is back Sunday in race 7. Together Indy is trained by George Weaver and will be ridden by Joe Bravo.
Looks like a single in Pick bets…Race 8 off the turf
