Stronach Stable’s home bred City Wolf debuts tomorrow in Race 2 at Belmont Park. City Wolf is trained by Bobby Frankel and is a full half brother to Ghostzapper and City Zip. City Wolf’s sire is Giants Causeway. City Wolf has been working steadily since July for his debut and in the process has put together a string of solid, fast works. City Wolf was set to make his debut twice in September, but was scratched both times, September 5 at Saratoga and September 12 at Belmont Park. Since being scratched last time, he has had three fast drills, and looks ready to fire a big race first time out. He will have to contend with Fayoum, who will be the probable favorite. Speedy Fayoum will be making his third career start after just missing in his first two races at Saratoga by a neck and a length and a half. He looks to be City Wolf’s biggest challenge. City Wolf should be running right out of the gate. Ramon Dominguez will have the mount for this fast working son of Giant’s Causeway.
