Last years BC Marathon winner is back, Muhannak will defend his title, but his form has been lacking this year. The favorites in this race are Lillie Langtry and House of Grace. This is a large field. Rose Catherine won her turf debut last out at Belmont Park in smashing fashion, running away from them in a field of 11. La Nez makes her turf debut. She ran a good 3rd in the Darley Stakes (GI) 2 back. She will be a big price. She has never run worst then 3rd and she will be stretching out. The class of the race is Lillie Langtry, who has won a GII and ran 3rd in a GI in Europe. Horses to use, Lillie Langtry, La Nez, Rose Catherine, House of Grace, Elusive Galaxy and Jungle Tale. Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies
A large field and a tough one to cap. The favorites will be Blind Luck, Connie and Michael and Negligee. All of these rate a chance, but they are not locks. Connie and Michael was a sensational first time out winner et Keeneland, where she smashed the field to win by 7 lengths. She makes her first start in graded company. Blind Luck has a win and a second in a Grade I and Grade II for Jerry Hollendorfer. She looks pretty good. Negligee has 2 wins from 3 starts, including the GI Alcibiades at Keeneland. She Be Wild (Winner) has had a great year for Wayne Catalano. She has won 3 of her 4 starts, and ran 2nd in the Alcibiades to Negligee. She rates a good shot as well. There is one horse in here that will be a big price, and I think rates a good chance at a win, and that horse is Biofuel, who ran a strong race at Woodbine over the poly track. She rated behind and made a bold move to blow away that field. The race was the Mazarine a GIII. She beat 7 others. She also sports 2 sharp workouts. I will go out on a limb here, and make her my top pick (Ran 4th). Forever Together is back to defend her title from last year, and comes into this race making her 3rd start off a mini layoff for Jonathan Sheppard. She has class and a powerful late kick. Midday is a filly for Juddmonte Farms, who could be on the verge of a big BC this year. Midday has kept solid company all year in Europe running in Grade I races. She ran 2nd to the top rated filly Sariska in the English Oaks at Epsom. Midday rates a solid chance for top honors in this race and will use (Winner). Pure Clan has a big year as well, and has been a winner at the distance 3 times in 5 attempts. Dynaforce won the Beverly D this year over a turf course rated good at Arlington Park. Ventura looks to repeat in this years Filly and Mare sprint with her explosive late kick, and it looks like she has every chance in the world to do it again. Coming off an impressive win in the Woodbine Mile, Ventura looks to be at the best she has ever been. She loves 7 furlongs, as he late kick gets magnified with all of the speed in the front of her. 3-year-old Sara Louise will be trying the Pro-Ride for the first time and is in sharp form for Godolphin.
