    Nice synopsis!

The more I look at the race, CLASSICAL SLEW will be the key. His best races were at Hol as a juvenile. If it was the surface he loved, most dirt-like of the SoCal synths, Tyler Baze will send him hard from the bell. If he's a “need-the-lead” type, Baze will send him hard.

That will force Garcia to decide what to do…from the 3 hole, he may get boxed in if Garcia doesn't have his “A” game today. TEMPTED TO TAPIT and NACHO FRIEND can't afford to let those two dawdle and TEMPTED looks like he needs to be involved early to have a winning chance. NACHO stalks and will have tired pace players to run down the final 1/8 if he's fit enough.

TEMPTED and NACHO both NEED EARNINGS while CONVEYANCE sits in the Derby gate at tied for 13th through yesterday and can use this as a bit of an education run sitting off a pacesetter and pouncing on the turn.

NACHO's the pick from this corner.

Yea I agree with this as well. I think the pace will be honest-it does depend a bit on what Classical Slew does. I think he zips right out of the gate to the lead. He is the wild card in today's race…
