They have compiled earnings of almost 2 million dollars in their career. And Joey P will try to take them all the way with his speed. Joey P has run second or first in his last 8 starts. He will have some competition though. Hey Chub also has some speed and will be in the second tier behind Joey P and will try his bid from there. Classy Ah Day is working fast, comes in off the bench for King T Leatherbury and has big back numbers. Rockerfeller ships in from Calder where he ran third to sprint leader Benny the Bull looks to be a player as well for Marty Wolfson. Mean Demand steps up in class for Orseno and Jorge Chavez. Roi Maudit returns to the races for Mott. Horse won three straight in the fall of 07 and has been off for 7 months. Who’s The Cowboy, a past winner of the Teddy Drone and Maddy’s Lion are strong closers. Who’s The Cowboy is rounding in to form and Maddy’s Lion is running his best races of his career as of late. It will be another exciting renewal of the Teddy Drone
Regret- Fillies and mare going 6 furlongs. The top horses in here are Solorana, Hungarian Boatbaby, and Dixie Dreamer shipping up from Calder. Coli Bear is coming off a win for the hot Levine. Lezcano and Levine are clicking at 88% this year at Monmouth. And the speedster Pure Disco breaks from the outside.
Matchmaker- J’Ray, Paris Winds and Social Queen look to be the top 3, but there are some others that could have a say. Eclisse will try to wire them from post 7. Waquoits Love comes in off a strong effort at Belmont Park for Tim Hills. Dyna’s Lassie is rounding into form, but will have to jump up to win today.
Lady’s Secret- Fast NJ Bred Talkin About Love has won 7 of 15 starts and all 7 at Monmouth Park. Devil House is in for Levine. Street Bird is back after a poor start in Belmont. And Steve Assmussen has, what could be the post time favorite Rolling Sea with Joe Bravo up. She won the G2 Chilukki stakes at Churchill Downs.
Oceanport- A nice grass race. Silver Tree who is as consistent as they come will try to win it. Hotstufanthensome the 8 year old is coming off an allowance win. Presious Passion the UN winner will shorten up and try to do it agin on the fron end. Buffalo Man is trying a 1 1/8 for the first time. Horse has speed, but it’s a new disatnce.
The Haskell is Big Browns return race and his foes do not look to be the strongest. I expect if Big Brown is in order should bounce back nicely today. The works have been super. This is not the strongest renewal of the Haskell. Pick bets and some zactas and triple box for the race is an idea. Magical Forest, Cool Coal Man, And Atoned could be used under, with Nistle’s Crunch could also be used in a box.
